Hazak is the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism's organization for "Mature Jews." Locally, we have been meeting under the name of Emanu-El's "Fifty Plus Club."
Described by some as a "Kosher Elderhostal Program", Hazak offers opportunities for education and travel.
We hope to "re-vamp" our Fifty Plus Club so that it appeals to a broader base of "senior" adults. In addition to our luncheon programs at the Synagogue, we hope to add occasional "field trips" to local places of interest, and possibly, day trips to nearby towns.
Hazak lunch is held every second Tuesday of the month.
